Siminn hf has signed an agreement with On-Waves s.a.r.l. in Luxembourg to provide GSM service onboard ferries and cruisers sailing in international waters. Under this agreement Siminn is responsible for GSM switching, roaming agreements and interconnection, and On-Waves will see to all radio equipment onboard the vessels as well as communication to the GSM switch. The service is branded On-Waves Maritime GSM service and will be ready for delivery this month.
