Siminn expands its IP network

Siminn has expanded its IP network considerably, now offering still securer and faster data transport. After the expansion, the network is more powerful and can carry more traffic than before, which increases companies' security. There is now more service offered on the network, and companies can choose more service categories than before. Because of the enormous progress to date in telecommunications, companies now base their performance on it in greater measure than before and can download and send data fast and securely. For this reason the network's build-up must be constant, and further expansion of Siminn's IP network can be expected in the near future.

Service agreements

Siminn is constantly seeking to improve its services in the corporate market and next year will offer companies fixed service agreements. Siminn's customers can thus choose the level of service best suiting their operations. "Siminn will provide their customers with advice on the level of service best suiting their operations, for this can lower companies' operating costs. Siminn's specialists will call on companies, do a needs analysis and recommend courses of action. The goal of this program is to maximize companies' benefit from utilizing Siminn's IP network," said Eva Magnúsdóttir, Siminn's Communications Representative.

Data prioritization

Siminn's IP network operation emphasizes capacity, security and flexibility. Users can prioritize their communications within the company by their importance. It is now common for companies not to renew obsolete telephone switchboards but transfer voice communications to the IP network. It can be advantageous for companies to channel their telecommunications services via IP. It is thus unnecessary to hire employees to take care of telecommunications; rather, Siminn's specialists operate the system and adapt it to each company's operations. The companies can instead concentrate on their core activities.
